WoW Upgrades - The item upgrading Upgrader

Upgrades can give you an increase in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases item upgrader kit level by 3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item upgrades however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and accessories. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for various currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. The button will show the item's next level of upgrade item, when there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the item level Upgrade and the current level of the item. For example weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Upgraders for items can be found in a variety of locations on the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and a possibility of obtaining the latest recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or quests.

In Season 3 the upgrade system has been tweaked a bit, with several new features added. The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced too, but it is only available after certain milestones are achieved.

Crests

When it comes to upgrading equipment in WoW players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are an item upgrading that is available to everyone for upgrading. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it will bring some modifications to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change lets players upgrade their gear to the highest possible level on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another important modification is that crests have one purpose and it's crucial to use them properly. For instance, it's a good idea to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests with the best gear you have available and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to create. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
